Fees
At Fidelis Dispute Resolution, we believe in transparent and predictable costs. Our fees are structured to reflect the complexity and value of each case while ensuring that parties have access to principled, efficient dispute resolution grounded in justice and reconciliation.
We use a flat-fee model based on the amount in dispute. These fees cover all administrative costs and arbitrator compensation, with no hourly billing or hidden charge.
Amount in Dispute | Total Fee (one arbitrator) |
---|---|
Up to $100,000 | $7,000 |
$100,001 - $250,000 | $12,000 |
$250,001 - $500,000 | $18,000 |
$500,001 - $1,000,000 | $28,000 |
$1,000,001 - $2,000,000 | $40,000 |
$2,000,001 - $5,000,000 | $60,000 |
Over $5,000,000 | Fees determined case-by-case |
*All fees are stated in U.S. dollars. They include arbitrator compensation, administrative expenses, and case management. Travel and expert witness expenses, if any, are billed separately.
Filing Fee
To initiate a case, the claimant must submit a non-refundable filing fee of $2,000.
Fees & Allocation
-
Once a case is accepted, each party is asked to pay 50% of the total case fee, unless otherwise agreed.
-
If the parties reach a settlement or otherwise terminate the arbitration before a final award is rendered, Fidelis will determine and fix the fees, taking into account the stage the case has reached and other relevant circumstances. Any unused advance deposits will be refunded after deducting amounts incurred.
-
In exceptional circumstances—such as a party's refusal to pay—Fidelis may allow one party to advance the full amount, subject to later cost allocation in the final award.
-
Final costs will not exceed the published fee for the applicable tier.
Mission-Based Adjustments
As an organization committed to accessibility and fairness, we recognize that some cases may merit accommodations. In certain circumstances—especially involving individuals, faith-based communities, or those of limited means—fee reductions or pro bono proceedings may be available upon request and at the discretion of the Tribunal.
